They just seem like they're having some serious fun. And you can tell from their faces that they've seen some real hell in their lives.

I believe Abdallah is playing a Fender Jazzmaster, unless someone has a keener eye than I. Ibrahim is playing a green Strat.
Lovely raw sound. No effects. Just straight in and out of the amps.

Your second link, Iswegh Attay, is quite excellent. Unplugged Tinariwen. Great recording and mix.

Micah, we've got to stop meeting like this. The Deadheads are getting suspicious.
If this keeps up we'll need to start a Tinariwen forum.
